The Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT) is utilized by Florida Department of Education’s Florida College System to determine a student’s preparedness and placement for college level course work. Implemented in 2012-2013 school year, Florida high schools will begin testing  students in 11th grade who have not otherwise shown readiness with their FCAT scores.

The Florida Department of Education conducted the required competitive procurement process before selecting McCann Associates to develop the test. The test vendor worked with Florida faculty to ensure that the test questions were aligned with the state’s core competencies as taught in schools.

Our community resource website is not affiliated with the state of Florida or any school. It was created to help parents, students, and educators more clearly understand the PERT. This informational site aims to provide resources for test taking, such as practice test resources, and current and historical information about the PERT. Be sure to check with your local high school or college for the most accurate information in your community.
